"You treat all your clients in the same manner.."
"Now that the dust has settled and my transaction is complete, I wanted to take a few minutes to thank you formally for all the hard work you put into selling my home. These are obviously challenging times in the real estate business, which makes the fact that you sold the house in about six weeks all that more impressive. From the time I signed the listing contract, I felt that you were both working hard and looking out for my best interest. Within a few days, you set me up with a stager, a photographer and a handyman so that you could market my home in its best light possible. These details, in my opinion, made all the difference in the world. When I had 40 people through in the first month with no offers, you were correct in assuming that my price should be reduced. Although no one is happy to reduce the amount they assume they may net from their sale, I knew deep in my heart it was the right thing to do. When I received a good offer two weeks later, I realized that the reduction brought the right buyers to my home at the right time. I thank you both for your professionalism, honesty and hard work in making my transition an easy one. Being in the mortgage business, one would think that my choice of who would represent me would have been a difficult one. But it was surprisingly easy. I’ve seen both of you work with many clients over the years. These characteristics you displayed in my transaction were not unique to me—you treat all your clients in the same manner and that makes you both special."

Relocation >Help Your Real Estate Agent
Once your home is listed for sale, it may be difficult for you to step aside and let your agent take over. When prospective buyers arrive, you may want to stand by to point out the closet extenders, the hidden spice cabinet behind the kitchen door, the energy-saving storm windows or the updated copper plumbing. If you really want to help, however, you will leave the house whenever it is being shown!
We have found that the sales process does not really begin until buyers have begun to voice their objections about a property. Sometimes these concerns are serious enough to remove your house from consideration. Often, however, people voice objections as an automatic response when they really love the house and want to buy it. Real estate professionals are trained to know the difference.
If a seller is standing at the agent's elbow, the buyer won't be comfortable enough to allow the process of raising objections take place. If the buyer feels intimidated or suppressed, we could lose the sale. The best way to help is to give your real estate agent room to make the sale.
